Review Text: Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner. My wife was anxious to start pressure cooking and we were looking at another model at the BestBuy store before getting this. At 6.5 quarts it's large enough to cook a chicken, which was the first meal we decided to cook. We decided to use a recipe out of the included cookbook for a whole chicken. We've already decided that our next meal will be wings! Setup and preparation for our first meal was easy. The control panel is easy to use and well laid out and all the buttons are responsive. For some reason the pressure float valve didn't seal on our first attempt and the Foodi asked us to add water. A few minutes after adding water the float valve closed and we were in business. While using the pressure cooker, after you press the start button, the display will show rotating lights. We had to check the manual to learn what this meant and it just means the Foodi is building up pressure. Once sufficient pressure is built up the timer starts counting down. Releasing the pressure is easy using the pressure release valve and the lid was easy to remove once pressure was released. Next, we closed the lid to the crisper and over two 8-minute sessions our chicken was given a nice and even golden browning. The chicken was moist and juicy and tasted great. I was impressed with how quickly it cooked and I can't wait to see what else we can do with the Foodi. Once we finished eating came the cleanup and storage. Cleanup was easy but time consuming as there are a lot of parts to the Foodi. The hardest part is the top of the crisper. Since you can't submerge the base or the lid in water you just have to use a damp cloth and towel to dry. It will be interesting to see how clean we can keep the inside of the crisper lid over time without being able to take it apart for a more thorough cleaning. Storage was another issue since the Foodi is 6.5 quarts plus you have the pressure cooker lid and reversible rack. We are still looking for a good storage solution since it takes up a lot of room. Overall, we love the Foodi and can't wait to see what we can do next with it!
