Review Text: A whole lot of punch for a small price!. When I first received the Epson ES-865 scanner, I was impressed that it has such a small footprint for such a workhorse of a machine. I unpacked the scanner and used the quick guide included to set it up. Super simple, straightforward and easy to understand. I was able to download and install the software from the website successfully and install it without incident. Did the test scan and was truly blown away at the result. I then decided to scan some double sided magazine pages I had been working on with my previous scanner to get some comparison. I was very impressed with how quickly it pulled the multiple, double sided, glossy pages through the auto feeder so fast and the scans showed up on my computer screen instantly. I then decided to mess with the settings and get some idea of just how high of a resolution I could scan on some old photos I want to digitize. My photo scans came out beautiful and I was able to play with them in photoshop because of the high resolution scan. My next job was to scan multiple pages at the same time since this is the primary reason I need this scanner. I put 56 double sided pages and the scanning was complete in less than 60 seconds! You can officially color me impressed. I have always been a loyal Epson fan for many, decades and this product did not disappoint me.
