Review Text: Darn 7706, second one, no good.. I went through my first 7706 in 20 days. That's right, 20 days. It literally went blue screened and said I didn't have a drive with an OS on it. Returned it to Best Buy, thank God Im an elite member and had the longer return period. I did contact Dell, went through the basic trouble shooting then was told that I only had the basic coverage on the laptop and to repair it would cost ME. I tried to reason with the dell associate and remind him I had only had the laptop for less then 3 weeks. I was told again that my computer required advanced trouble shooting and it would cost me. I told him, no it won't, I'll just return it to Best Buy. SO on to the second 7706, this one is showing a NEW message: "AN OPERATING SYSTEM EXCEPTION WAS CAUSED BY SYSTEM MEMORY" Ive done some research and came up with the possibility of a BIOS problem. Something about how the newest update is a problem, and to revert to an earlier BIOS. I have 1.4.1 u reverted back to 1.3. so far so good, I just completed that today though. So we'll see. I would like to recommend this laptop, it's quick and I love the large 17.3" screen. I do wish it had a better graphics card in it and a better screen. I'm thinking if I would do it all over again I'd get a workstation laptop. Something that had the better graphics card, better screen to support my graphic design and more RAM. I want a Dell workstation after all this fuss. Maybe Dell would discount a fantastic workstation even more, and match the cost of the 7706 and just so a straight swap. I would get a Dell tattoo for that also.... Lol. I like dell, this 7706 series I'm not happy with though.
