Review Text: Love It, Converted to Induction. We ordered this single-element unit so that we could try an induction cooktop without committing to spending a ton of money on a high-end built in unit that we may not like. Conclusion: we're completely sold. This little induction unit does a great job, with plenty of power and enough precision to rival (or beat) gas. It feels solid, but it's not too heavy. It's fairly intuitive to use, and there's a manual to get you introduced. The box even came with a magnet for you to use to check if your pans will work with induction. Almost every pan we have works perfectly, including our cast iron, carbon steel, and stainless steel sets. It makes quite a bit of noise, which we expected. A lot of it is the induction element, but the cooling fans are quite loud as well. It's the price you pay for an inexpensive, powerful countertop unit I suppose. It would be nice if the element was square and used up the entire surface, but such a unit wouldn't be as good of a price.
