Review Text: Premium Feel, Compact, Well Thought out Design. I've tested a lot of keyboards in the last year and I definitely have a soft spot in my heart for mechanical keyboards. In my opinion they're the best keyboards for gaming and typing. This week I tested the new ROCCAT Vulcan TKL wired mechanical keyboard. Out of the box I could immediately tell this keyboard was well thought out. The top of the keyboard base has a nice brushed aluminum plate with polished edges. The switches are exposed and have thin keycaps, which allow for maximum lighting beneath them. There are media controls which allow me to quickly adjust volume or mute my computer and best of all there is no number pad or extra extra media keys. This is especially nice because it keeps the keyboard size compact. While using this keyboard to game the keyboard was very responsive. One thing I liked about it was the feel of the keys. I noticed that I didn't have to bottom out the keys to get a response. a half press would register as key press. Another thing I liked was that the lighting profiles are static. Other keyboards would lose their lighting profiles as soon as the software was shut down. Which brings me to the topic of software. This keyboard uses a software called Swarm to control lighting profiles, remap keys and load custom gaming profiles. The Swarm software was easy to install, easy to use and worked well with other ROCCAT products. Overall in my opinion, this is a good keyboard that will fit most people's needs for work and play and it has my recommendation.
