Review Text: An absolute beast of a gaming desktop!. This gaming desktop is an absolute beast! My current rig is AMD-based with an NVidia RTX-2070S graphics card. The most demanding game I play (currently in open beta) runs at just under 60FPS on that setup at the highest possible settings. Out of the box, this Asus was running at 135+ FPS with the same game on the same ("Epic" quality, 1440p) settings and no overclocking. The itself case is sturdy and provides all the ports you could possibly ask for: multiple high-speed USB-A and USB-C, three Display Ports and two HDMI ports off of the RTX-3080 card. Easily accessible headphone and microphone jacks as well as full surround sound/optical audio in the back, 2.5G ethernet and WiFi with a separate antenna to minimize noise and interference from the computer itself. I was able to get full use of our 1G Internet connection from the opposite corner of the house from our WiFi router. I like the compromise of SSD for OS/application speed and larger traditional disk for spacious data storage. As far as noise is concerned, it is noticeable when you're running a game at max settings and pushing the GPU hard. It's fairly well controlled, however and much quieter than most gaming desktops I've owned. I think the only low point is the included wired keyboard and mouse, which will be a non-issue for most people. They feel cheap and were replaced after being used once. They work and will do the job until you find better input devices if you don't already have some in a drawer somewhere. I've owned a number of Asus laptops over the years and have always been impressed by their quality. I've never had a single issue, so I feel more comfortable that this desktop will hold up for quite some time. Ultimately, other than the non-issue of the cheap keyboard and mouse, I couldn't find a single thing to complain about. The case and lighting are attractive without being ridiculous, the performance is incredible and the fan noise is well controlled. Pair it with a good monitor, speakers, keyboard and mouse and you have one of the best gaming rigs for the price.
