Review Text: Awesome headphones!. I bought these headphones as an alternative to the Bose QC25. They sound fantastic. I listen to lossless files on an iPod Classic, and have tested the headphones on the desktop, laptop, and my stereo receiver, playing original CDs and vinyl. I can really hear the difference compared to the QC25s. These cans bring out the best in high-quality audio. They have good bass (not overbearing), and a well-balanced sound. It's fun hearing subtle details from instruments and background sounds in tracks that may not appear so clearly in lesser headphones. The Sonys are light and well-constructed. They don't get hot on the ears and can stay on the head for extended listening sessions. They're great for office use and at home. I'm used to the headband folding from the Bose, but it's not a big deal that the band on the 1AM2 doesn't fold. The headphones come with a soft pouch which may not be enough to really protect the product in a backpack for travel, so I recommend just getting a hard case off Amazon. If you're looking for a great set of closed-backed headphones and this is in your price range, go for it. You won't be disappointed. They rock!
