Review Text: Best XLR Microphone for under $500. I've been using a fairly expensive USB Mic for a little over a year now. I have to say, just feeling the Mic while setting it up evokes quality. Compared to my USB Mic, the Shure's mount weighs what my entire USB weighs. I might have to get another desk mount but we'll see. It feels absolutely solid and it certainly gives you the feeling it's going to last a long time. Setting it up was quick and painless. I've only got a really cheap budget Mixer hooked up to my PC as I'm working on upgrading things, next up will be a certain popular mixer most are familiar with. I have to say, I'm likely beyond underutilizing this Mic, given the pricing, quality and typical usage in Studio recording. To get it setup, I did have to play around with it alot, between the mixer, settings on the base of the mic and so forth. I ended up watching a lot of YouTube videos to better understand just what I was getting myself in to. The photo's I took were prior to hooking it up as I was waiting on the Mixer to arrive as it was repeatedly delayed. In any case, if you want uncompromised quality for a Microphone nearly any use case scenario but don't want to spend a fortune, the SM7B will be the best bang for your buck. The legacy that Shure has is nothing short of legendary.
