Review Text: Air Fryer is a game changer. Most of us find our countertop ovens to be invaluable whether it is toasting bread or buns, reheating pizza, making roasted potatoes or whatever, but the recent addition of an air fryer has made these units much more useful while saving you from buying one more small appliance. As mentioned, the main addition to this unit is the air fryer function. It adds a bit to the depth of this unit compared to my previous countertop oven, around 3" in the rear for the air fryer fan and vent housing. The Kitchenaid unit was easy to use and very intuitive, you have your pre-set wheel and then you have the wheel to adjust temperatures. If you press the button on that wheel, you can then adjust time. In order to use the air fryer there is a bottom grease plate as well as a drip tray, then there is the air fryer basket. I was eager to test it out since my wife loves Buffalo wings. We could only do about 16 wings in the smaller 3 qt air fryer I have, but this unit could do 24 wings. The best part was because its in a basket, you don't have to flip or turn the wings. I can't wait to try fries next!!! Overall very impressed with this unit, all the pieces are dishwasher safe and easily fit so after you air fry something you can just drop everything into the dishwasher to clean it up. Only thing is I feel the full stainless housing on my older unit was better looking on the countertop while this unit has that black glass face which makes it look more like a microwave.
