Review Text: Powerful, Clean, Responsive Bass. This replaced a still-functioning Polk PSW505, with similar specs. I have to say, if I purchased the Klipsch at full price, I would have rated it lower, or even returned it, but for $250 it was a nice upgrade. I now have a matching Klipsch 5.1 surround sound system, and a slightly better sounding subwoofer. The build quality is nice, and the subwoofer looks high quality. The whole thing is lighter than I expected, so I don't think the enclosure is built from heavy material though. The biggest upgrade is in the quality of bass. Low frequency explosions in movies, or double bass attacks in metal music would turn the Polk muddy sounding. The Klipsch maintains its composure, and produces powerful, clean, responsive bass no matter what I throw at it. Overall, I'm very happy with the performance of this subwoofer for what I paid. I'm not hearing some of those very low bass notes with it only rated down to 29Hz, but I guess I don't miss them that much when the house is already shaking. From a performance to price standpoint, this subwoofer would be hard to beat at $250. Full price, I would look to an internet-only subwoofer that can get down to 20Hz for the same full price.
