Review Text: Compact BUT Powerful. The Sony SRS-XB23 Portable Bluetooth speaker is a small speaker that packs a powerful punch. It is very lightweight but don't let that fool you. We took this camping this past weekend and it basically played the entire time on a single charge. We used the lanyard to hook it to one of the awning arms and left it. And it looked good as new when we packed up to leave. Pros: The initial connection to my iPhone 7 (and my sons) was a breeze. Simply open up the settings app, click on the SONY SRS and it was playing almost immediately. Take the time and download the Sony Music Center app if you purchase this speaker. It truly improves the experience of this speaker. Sound quality is exceptional. The speaker has a great bass. The highs and lows are great as well. The music is crystal clear and the range to the phone/music source is remarkable. I was more than 75 ft away at one point and it never lost connection with my phone. I have several other Bluetooth speakers, but this Sony SRS-XB23 is by far the best of them. Build: The build of this speaker is top notch. As I said, we attached it to the awning arm and left it. It was in the sun, shade, rain, wind, and like that little pink bunny, it kept going and going and going. I was a little weary of the waterproof ability at one point, because we had a very heavy rain and I thought about the speaker about half way through, but it survived, and the sound was still exceptional. This is a well built speaker that is very tough. VERY TOUGH. Controls: Sony also did a fine job of the layout of the speaker controls. The on/off button, volume up/down next song/previous song, etc. are all easy to locate and use. Charge: It came with a charge that was about half charged. I charged it for about three hours and it was fully charged. The provided charging cable attaches easily. Cons: For me, there are none. I truly enjoy the speaker and can't wait to try it out in a couple of weeks at Myrtle Beach. Can't wait!
