Review Text: Wood Top Splits. I really WANT to love this workbench. It's seems like it's built like a tank. The issue is that the top is not built to last. The first one I had splits in the wood right out of the box and this is the replacement. Now this one has severe splitting showing up in the first 2 years, worsening rapidly. As background, this workbench was completely overkill for us, used exclusively inside as a dining room/kids project table. This has not seen chemicals, water, heavy tools/equipment, extreme temps or humidity. This is a fairly expensive product and I wouldn't expect it to have a short lifespan or need major repairs in such a short amount of time. Clearly squirting some wood glue in there won't solve the problem. A replacement top is a lot of $ as well... so at some point in the near future I'm likely facing a table that needs replaced.
