Review Text: When you need to be wired. Many newer, slimmer devices are coming with only USB-C ports as input and charge ports while not including larger ports like a standard Ethernet port. However, with an adapter like this USB-C to Ethernet + charge adapter you can use a standard gigabit Ethernet cable as well as charge your device at the same time. This works nicely if you are in an environment that doesn't have any wireless capability or you must be in airplane mode but need network connectivity. This adapter provides up to gigabit speeds provided the network devices you attach to also provide up to that speed. The USB-C port on the adapter however, only works for passing through power and does not provide the full power to the device as some is lost through the adapter. Though not drastically different in times, it is noticeable when using the charger directly that you get a shorter charge time than through the adapter.
