Review Text: Great bang for your buck!. This is my first foray into a gaming laptop and doubly so with Intel and Nvidia. I've always been an AMD guy but the value proposition with this laptop coupled with DLSS and ray tracing made it an enticing purchase for me. I bought this so I could continue to game on the go without having to bring my Xbox with me, potentially a monitor, and all the extra cables and frustration of hotel TV's and their lack of input switching. With Xbox's play anywhere initiative gaming is so accessible allowing cross save/progression on PC and Xbox. Initially I thought I made a less than ideal purchase due to the factory settings being set for battery life vs gaming performance. After some tweaking, updates, a handful of restarts, and some Google searches to figure out how to maximize performance HOLY MOLY, this thing is a beast. The built in cooling system is fantastic. Keeps the temps in the 60degc range after hours of play at max settings. The monitor is just ok. The 144hz is great but I'm used to 4k OLED on my desktop and Xbox so it seems a little flat. I'm also used to vrr so the minor screen tearing I noticed was definitely more noticeable than I'm used to. The included power brick is manageable. It's not too big but also doesn't provide enough power for those longer/heavier gaming sessions. I noticed after playing for a couple hours that the battery on the laptop was less than 100% despite being plugged in. The first time it was down to 90% and the second time it was down to 93% The laptop draws power from both the brick and batteries to power everything during intense gaming sessions. Not an issue for me since I've set this thing up to be a gaming powerhouse. All in all I'd highly recommend this laptop. PC gaming is a tinkerer's hobby and expect nothing less if you'd like to get max performance out of this guy. I haven't really tested battery life in general because that's not why I bought it. I intend to stay plugged in while I use it. I actually canceled my steam deck pre-order because after weighing all the pros and cons, this made more sense.
