Review Text: Modern looking, not so quiet. Nicely packed, well built, looking more like a very large smart speaker or subwoofer, the Molekule Air Mini is the smallest, least expensive version of the original. Don't be deceived by the word Mini, this thing is not so small, measuring about 12" high with a diameter of just over 8 1/4", check out the picture of a can of soda next to it...This model doesn't have any bells and whistles, just a button in the middle on top that blends in and 5 white LEDs that represent the fan speed. This model is designed for rooms of up to 250 sq ft, say most suitable for a bedroom. If you are a light sleeper like me, you will most likely not tolerate the fan noise any higher than Level 1. It gets progressively louder up to level 5. I used Level 3 - 5 after cooking to see if it helps eliminate odors, though it's mostly meant to destroy particulates in the air with its special "PECO" filter that's supposed to last 6-months. While new, it seemed to generate its own odor, it smelled more like elmer's glue to me for a while, but only up-close and it seems to have gone away or I got used to it. I have no way of scientifically verifying its effectiveness, and I can only compare it to an ionic breeze fanless system which didn't make any noise and made the air in the room feel fresher/cooler by ionizing it and allegedly zapping bacteria and other air impurities. This is also one of the priciest air purifiers on the market, so it may not be for everyone but to each their own.
